Elections

The YPAA Summit elections will held on Thursday, June 12th at 7:00 PM EDT. A list of each position along with brief descriptions can be found below. Any member of A.A. is eligible to stand for any position. Information about the Third Legacy Voting Procedure that guides our elections can be found here in the A.A. Service Manual on page 114.

Positions

Chairperson
- Chairs committee meetings
- Creates meeting agendas
- Communicates with all committee members about meetings and deadlines
Co-Chairperson
- Fills in for the Chairperson in their absence
Treasurer
- Obtains and maintains an EIN number for the committee
- Establishes a bank account
- Reports on income and expenses
- Sets up payment on Zoom and other expenses
Secretary
- Takes meeting minutes
- Maintains a Google Drive for committee documents

- Creates a roster of committee members
Regional Outreach Chairs
(Based on AAWS Regions with International Regions as needed)
- Communicate with YPAA Conferences, Conventions, and Committees throughout their Region
- Posts outreach materials on social media groups
Program Chair
- Chairs a Program Subcommittee to help determine topics for panels and presentations
- Coordinates volunteers for each session of the program
Website Chair
- Maintains the committee website
- Creates a Zoom account and provides meeting links
- Maintains the Facebook group
- Is the main point of contact for the email account
